Overview
Kids absorb so much — which is why Tech-Futures focuses on technology that is not yet mainstream. From printers that build physical objects layer by layer to drones that map fields and rovers exploring other planets, the tools reshaping our world are advancing faster than most of us can keep up with. This overview introduces the emerging fields your child can explore, and how each one turns curiosity into real, future-ready skills.
3D Printing & Design
3D printing turns a digital design into a real object you can hold. Kids use beginner CAD tools like TinkerCAD to model their own toys, tools, and gadgets, then watch a printer bring them to life. Along the way they learn engineering and problem-solving — and see how the same technology is used in medicine, fashion, and space.
Drone Technology
Drones blend flight, robotics, and cameras into one exciting package. Campers learn the science of flight, safety rules made simple, and how to pilot mini drones through obstacle courses. They also discover how drones are used in the real world — from filmmaking to search-and-rescue — and capture their own aerial footage.
Space Technology
Space exploration is a proving ground for tomorrow's technology. Kids design space habitats, build and launch model rockets, and simulate life on Mars while learning about rovers, satellites, and space suits. NASA-inspired STEM challenges make big scientific ideas hands-on and fun.
And What's Next
Technology never stands still. As new fields emerge, Tech-Futures keeps its camps current so campers are always exploring what's on the horizon — not just what's already common. Our year-round membership program lets kids keep building on their summer projects or start something brand new.
Why It Matters for Your Child
Exposure to emerging technology early builds comfort with change — one of the most valuable skills for any future career. We introduce these concepts in an age-appropriate way, and can even adapt them for toddlers, seniors, and learners of any age. Ask us how!
